LOGLINE

Costumed in a wig and moustache, Violet visits the man she has been seeing in an attempt to understand his sudden coldness towards her.

SYNOPSIS

Violet had been dating Joseph for a couple of months, and although their friendship became long distance, they were sweet on each other and wrote often. Since he left on tour with a theatre company, he became erratic and strangely unresponsive, offering Violet no explanation. He wouldn't even return her camera to her when she asked him to. Even by post.

Six weeks later, Violet happens to be two minutes from where she stayed with Joseph. Still in costume from working on a film set- as an old man- she decides that this is the time to visit his apartment, in an attempt to collect her camera and understand his sudden coldness towards her.

Stewing in the awkward remains of a relationship, this genuine and heartfelt film is about strength. The strength that’s required to confront the people we care for, to keep our dignity, and most of all, to forgive and move on.

‘Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.’

-Mark Twain.
